The hardiest of the figs, a good cropper reliably producing fruit with reddish brown
skin with red flesh and a sweet flavor ripening from mid August. Keep watered during
growing season and feed with a potash fertilizer once fruit start to swell. Excellent
flavour Can be eaten straight from the tree, dried, used in baking or simply made
into a tasty jam.
Plant in fertile soil, with a south facing aspect, can be grown as a tree, bush,
standard or espalier on a wall in full sun
