Hedychium Flavescens grows to about 2m with fish shaped
green leaves. The flowers are a large creamy yellow colour produced from a cone like
spike. The powerful fragrance is a
spicy perfume which remains fairly strong all day. A late summer flowering plant
which can be brought inside to flower evading
any early frost giving a good display to a conservatory area.
Hardiness: fully hardy, provide a winter Mulch Keep containerised plants well watered
in summer,and give frost protection
Position: Full sun, well drained soils, chalk free.
